PuppyDog’s Day Out at the Dog Show Our first post from PuppyDog contributor Sandra and her husband, is a record of their local dog show. We hope dear reader you will enjoy their report and we understand a video is on its way !
When it comes to doggie grass roots, they don’t come any greener than the local dog show. A chance to meet up with old friends and make some new ones, owners and dogs ! Our local show takes place once a year in the local sports hall and the there is always a lot of interest. Owners come from far and wide to what is primarily a novice show. There are the usual classes including working dogs, terriers and minatures. The working dogs were particularly well represented with a large number of retrievers, with many owners showing more than one dog. I had chance to catch up with an old friend who was showing her Old English Sheep dog, plenty of grooming going on! I hope to share with you some of her tips in an upcoming article, you never stop learning when showing dogs.
